Patrick is Brian’s first friend from college, meeting as part of a robot-building trio for their freshman Topics course, Brains & Minds, Robots & Computers. Patrick was a frequent guest at 210 (Brian’s college sharehouse), joining Brian on pizza delivery missions and introducing everyone to the beauty of listening to the Grammy-winning Civilization IV theme song Baba Yetu in a basement with probably-illegal bedrooms. After Brian graduated and left Bloomington, he frequently drove down to visit Patrick and most of the rest of the 210 crew at their new headquarters, Duckworth.  Together, they spent New Year’s 2013 snowed in in a cabin in Brown County, laboring to make everyone coffee using the worst coffee grinder ever created. More recently, Brian was delighted to celebrate Patrick on his wedding day in Madison, IN, where Brian enjoyed drinking Malort out of an ice luge. Brian is overjoyed Patrick will be joining him on his special day.
